Evansville Christian Men’s Basketball Eagles captured the ICSAA state championship by stunning Victory Christian 60-44 in front of a raucous crowd in Anderson, IN.
The Eagles dominated the flow of the entire game and collectively were able to shutdown the high potent offense of Victory Christian. Josiah Dunham capped off his freshmen season with a 36 point, 8 rebound effort to lead the Eagles offensively.
Sophomore Jake Schnepper was huge for the Eagles all weekend and added 17 points and 4 rebounds to round out his finest performance of the season.
Senior Hunter Lindsey anchored the stout defense all game and finished with 10 rebounds and holding their 6’8′ Center to just 10 points. It was Hunter’s last game and he played like a man altering shots, diving on the floor, setting screens to free his teammates, and firing up the team all game.
Thank you Hunter for helping our school win our first state title.
